Working with animals has always been a passion. My earliest experience started as a volunteer at the PAWS Animal Shelter, where I later became an employee of eight years. I still enjoy dedicating my time to the shelter animals and am a regular foster parent of both cats and dogs. Other education and experience includes being a member of Pet Sitters International, being certified in S.A.F.E.R. handling (which helps to positively evalutate the behavior of shelter animals), and being a volunteer for Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue. To further my knowledge, I attended the following conferences and seminars:
-Dog Behavior by Brenda Loof, behaviorist
-Dog Smart by trainer and APDT founder, Ian Dunbar
-Safely Medicating Cats held at PAWS Animal Shelter
Of course I have my own family which includes my two cats, Brady and Pierre, and my two Boston Terriers, Bruno and Popeye.
